Lecia Robertson, principal artist with many opera houses and past life cabaret performer brings a special magic to the show with her large and expressive voice and great comic timing.
Margaret Curtis, pianist and harpist accompanies and plays solos to die for. She loves explaining her harp and answering questions.
Together, with their special rapport, they create vibrant performances with quirky introductions which make for a sublime mix of pure entertainment and musical integrity. Their performances are purely acoustic without enhancements or microphones. Perfect for special parties, restaurants, festivals and house concerts.
In 2012 Aria Viva produced two new shows: A Taste of Opera is performed in a restaurant setting in short sets in different languages with canapés served to accompany. Songs My Mother Taught Me was first performed to great acclaim at the Byron Theatre, a perfect venue for this show. The Bangalow Music Festival invited them to perform in 2012. In 2014, they developed their Italian Opera Show which was a resounding success at Fins Restaurant, Tweed heads.

Margaret and Lecia are an incredibly talented pair, and their performance was a delight to experience. Their interaction and harmony is first rate, and the diverse selections enabled them to showcase their incredible talent. What also added to our enjoyment was the explanations and descriptions of the pieces, and where they fitted in to the overall operatic story.
My suggestion is to find out when Margaret and Lecia are next performing, and organise your tickets as soon as possible. The afternoon was truly a ‘not to be missed’ event.
